A classic: the striped shirt

I love myself a striped shirt and would almost go as far as considering anything striped a wardrobe staple. It’s a timeless piece of clothing that oozes Parisian chic when worn with a pair of black trousers and simple ballet flats. Oh, but you’re not into that so-called French effortless look? No problem! This piece easily transcends style genres and can be worn in countless different ways (see here).

Choosing the right striped item for your wardrobe can be a horrendous task. I mean, the options are endless; thick or thin stripes, blue, grey or black stripes (if you’re going for the classics) and what about the fit? Tailored or loose? My current favourite is the one above, a grey striped blouse made from airy lightweight-cotton, perfect for the office during a hot summer day.
